A Shopify partner for growing brands
Since then, Code has helped hundreds of brands switch to Shopify. From ambitious D2C businesses to established names with complex needs. What are they looking for? A Shopify partner who thinks along, brings technical expertise, and knows how to build scalable e-commerce solutions. Not just a beautiful storefront, but a future-proof platform.
“We’re seeing more and more companies with serious revenue and complex infrastructure move to Shopify,” Bob explains. “Think of brands using a PIM system, ERP, operating globally, or running B2B environments. For them, a standard Shopify theme just isn’t enough. They’re looking for a partner who’s done enterprise-level migrations before—and that’s us.”
We don't stop collaborating after launch, but stay involved as an e-commerce partner. “We call it Acceleration & Growth. After launch, the team continues working on performance, optimisation, email automation flows, loyalty programmes, or roll-outs to other countries.”
Love for your product
Today, Code is one of only two Shopify Premier Partners in the Netherlands. We work with clients whose revenue ranges from five to hundreds of millions. “It’s important to us that our clients get a sparkle in their eyes when they talk about their product. You really have to love what you sell—otherwise, you won’t succeed,” says Bob. That energy is contagious and leads to better collaboration.
That passion is essential—whether it’s high-end motorcycle gear from Alpinestars, food tools from BOSKA, or heated products from Stoov. These are brands with a clear mission. And that’s exactly who we love to work with.
Shopify’s power to innovate
Robin notes how Shopify has taken huge steps forward in platform functionality over the past years. Bob agrees: “I think there are about 4,500 developers working on Shopify,” he says. “And it shows. Sometimes we build something custom for a client, and just weeks later, Shopify launches that exact feature natively. That’s impressive.”
Every six months, Shopify rolls out 100 new features in their Editions updates. Competing e-commerce platforms simply can’t keep up with that speed and development power. That’s what appeals to many brands: fewer worries about uptime, hosting, or performance—and more focus on conversion, customer experience, and growth. “Brands almost never leave Shopify,” Bob says. “And maybe that says it all.”
Technical DNA
What makes Code different from other Shopify agencies? The technical side of the work. “We’re good at complex challenges,” Bob says. “Migrations, integrations with external systems, multilingual setups, large catalogues, custom solutions—that’s where we thrive.”
We have a dedicated in-house team. No freelancers, no juniors. Experienced developers, solutions engineers, and project managers who have worked together for years. “Some of them have been here for sixteen years.”
Culture as a steady force
Code has grown to 60 people, but our culture hasn’t changed. Bob smiles. “We like to call ourselves social nerds,” he says. “We’re technically strong, but we can also hold a proper conversation.” That mix works—internally and with clients.
“An advisor recently visited our office,” he recalls. “They said: some companies spend millions trying to create this kind of atmosphere. And you just have it.”
We have offices in Amsterdam and Berlin, but most of the team works in Delft, where our core development team is based. “That’s where we build everything. And that’s where we’ll keep building.”
